SAPHA Signs NCAPA’s Call on House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis to Include AAPI Community in their Work

SAPHA is proud to join NCAPA and over 65 organizations to call on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis to fully include the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in their scope of work, including disparate health impacts of COVID-19 and rise of anti-Asian racism.

On behalf of NCAPA and undersigned Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander organizations, we are writing to urge you to fully include the AAPI community in the scope of work for the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus. More specifically, we ask that the Subcommittee:

  • Include AAPIs in the investigation and discussion around the disparate health impacts of the COVID-19 virus.
  • Investigate and provide policy recommendations with respect to the rise of anti-Asian racism that has been observed in accordance with the COVID-19 pandemic.
